We have tons of wild Muscadine growing here, and when I can, I make some mean wine. Problem is, when they do bear fruit, it is like 30' up in the tree tops. Many a time I wished I had a Helper Monkey to go pick them.

That is the problem with wild ones

Thanks for the coffee..

Looks like it will be partially cloudy today. Or partially sunny which ever you prefer.

So much misery,  people lost so much , people lost homes , a few lost ALL .... :'(

Corpus Christy, Houston ,  Key West , Miami , Naples , here , Jacksonville,  the Caribbean

Tomorrow, I will be helping a woman at work by repairing her home damage,  whatever it takes
Supplies & my labor is hers....
I was happy to supply two units of plywood to my employees to protect the windows prior.

still , I'm sad and ashamed , I was joyful my power was restored  :-[  ::)

The news reports from there have showed the worst and the best of people. I am happy to know you survived, that even with the lack of power and services you and your family survived.  It also shows that you care about others, with your help to others. ..

It's the Cowboy Way Roo, I'd like to think we all would lend a helping hand to our neighbors in trouble like this.

As a side note, I'll be heading out to our state championship Heluva Rucus tomorrow morning. I'll be shooting Duelist instead of 49'er, Wish me luck,I'll need all I can get.
Respectfully,Major E.A. Sterner

I can tell you now, normally I carry a S&W Mod.36 w/ Hornady Critical Defense rounds in a pocket holster.
Since, Sunday I've also sported a Glock 17 Gen. 4 in pancake.
Mine is Agricultural / Residential  zoning  family homes with about 35% density  (rural) horse & livestock .
Without power it was black as coal ...perfect for malcontents, miscreants and looters.

I'm also thankful no need arose

I feel more comfortable where I am-at least 2 1/2 hours from a million people.

One of my Drivers retired to Long Key...Arnie has not been able to call out.... but we know he survived because he was seen
at a Water distribution station at the Winn Dixie down there.... :)
Another employee spoke to him via radio .... responding to his needs

We are sending a care package, donating cases of water, foods, one of my Generators , (gas) ...Batteries
27 LBS cases of Screws  3" 2" 1.5 " and 3/4 # 8  ...new doors & and windows
Gathering this weekend , loading the Trailer Monday....It's going by boat to Long Key.

Edit: Long Key  not Longboat Key

Good morning all! Wife's birthday was yesterday, spent the morning and afternoon up in Athens visiting the folks, had a mini party while we were there. Went to bed last night, and I decided to splurge by leaving the genny running for the fans. Oh we slept sooo good! She's still sleeping it off ;)

I also stopped by the hunting store on the way out of town. My new friend there wants me to make a pair of slings for him, and he wants cartridge strips on them, so I needed to pick up some cartridges to be sure I get them right. Was going over the details of what he wanted- How many cartridges do you want on them? Medium Brown? Basketweave? As I was getting ready to leave, I had one more question- Which shoulder will these be for, left or right? "Oh, I'm going to carry them on the right shoulder... Wait a minute! That won't make any difference!" I just had to chuckle...
