Starline .30 Caliber Rifle Brass Project
« on: December 17, 2016, 10:01:47 AM »
I received an e-mail from Starline yesterday announcing their new 308 Win (7.62X51) brass and my first thought was that's nice but I've got all the 308 brass I need.  I did however take the time to read the e-mail and I found this information.  I've quoted the first sentence of the e-mail below.

"We are excited to announce the addition of quality Starline rifle brass to our product offerings. To continue to meet customer demand, we're now offering .308 WIN brass, and will soon offer other cartridges from the .308 family."

So, my question is, what other rifle cartridges will be forthcoming in the Starline ".308 family" project?  I know many of you have contacted them asking about making 30-40 brass.  This may be the time for even more of us to suggest to them that the 30-40 would be profitable to add to this new project.

By ".308 family" I suppose they mean .243, 7-08, and other calibers based on the .308 case. Problem with 30-40 is there's no "family". So from the same basic brass, they can make 30-40 and maybe .303 British. But maybe since the Graf's brass went away so fast, maybe that will encourage Starline.

I'm still figuring on PRVI picking it up someday.  They already make .303.  Just leave the case a little longer.
