41 Long Colt Lyman 386178
« on: January 05, 2016, 05:34:44 PM »
Can someone answer two question about this cast bullet?

What is the overall length of the bullet?  What is the length from the base to the crimp groove?

Thanks

This doesn' quite answer your question;  http://westernbullet.com/ly3gr11.html

Update1; I found a reference that directed me to the 3d edition of the Lyman Cast Bullet handbook. I don't have that one, but I have a 1973 version without any indication of edition. I scaled the drawing with calipers and came up with a length of appx. .70 inch

Update2;  http://www.reloadersnest.com/frontpage_handgun.asp?CaliberID=52

Sorry, I asked before I did a simple Google search for specs of bullets.

It was right on the internet all the times.
