    Motive power-I love it!

This beloved 1920s super heater equipped locomotive that takes passengers through the White Mountains of NH is down with an overheating axle and will remain down for the 2016 season as well for it's federally mandated overhaul.  Riding through the mountains during the peak colors of Fall foliage is so absolutely breathtaking that I can't even begin to describe it.

But this engine is only run during the cooler months in order to preserve it. I can't even imagine it being raced!

That is a restored 1870's railroad station in the background.  Luckily, we have rich eccentric types that collect trains and related items!
