Into the nineties today with some haze in the skies.  We had a small brush fire just south of us that covered a little over 100 acres of open area, and is now in the mop up stage.  However, we have a 15.000 acre blaze about 50 miles south of us that is sending a little bit of smoke our way.  Most is heading east.  This one is still 0% contained due to terrain, dry brush and winds.

Goin’ to whip up a toasted bagel with cheese, egg and bacon for a late brunch.

Watching the hay go in the front and back yards.  The side will get cut with the mower in mulch mode to try and retain some moisture.

Bye Del:  Have a safe trip!

The hay has been mown (about 2 bales worth) and the rest mulched.  Artificial rain is being added to the growth equation today.  All in all, even with the cut backs on watering I’ve taken, the green is still there.

Got the rest of today off.  No cookin’ til tomorrow.
