I'm looking at a Winchester 21 at the local pawn shop.  It's a 12ga, and seems to be in good shape, excepting the stock needs refinishing.  $160.  What y'all think?

--TK

I think you should hav brought it home. Are sure it's a 21?  Those are usually pretty pricey.

Afternoon y'all

Getting ready to chow down on something or other.  Not sure what yet, but I'm ready.  ::)
After chow, going to do some more practicing with the truck.

Stu, that tag said a 21.  I'm wondering what might be wrong internally, though.  It was in the "as is" rack, and the stock isn't too terrible. :-\  I'll be back Monday to check.

Ya think, cuz? Sure would explain the farm use placard........................

Old man hadda '57 he rebuilt 'n sold. Grill's different. I'd guess it's a '56. Whatever it is I wouldn't be usin' it up luggin' produce. But that's just me.

Gotta 64. T'was my NIB issued service revolver. Bought it from the vendor what took 'em in trade when we transitioned to self-shuckers. Shot it in the OFSDAR thing Thursday. Hammer's stock, guts ain't. Ground the serrated face off the trigger 'n polished it. Hogue rubber. Been lookin' for an old four inch pencil barrel 10 or a 15.

Brinks Armored used to issue 64's that were double action only, they had bobbed hammers on them,The reasoning was that there was no way to cock the hammer so a lawyer couldn't say that the gun went off accidentally because it was cocked in case of a shooting.I had a 4 inch model 19 that I sent to S&W to covert it to DA only, wish I never sold it.

That's a nice looking Chevy. At one time, I've owned/driven all the main body styles from just post WWII up to mid 90s, except that last half of the fifties. Had a 50(GMC), 53,54,64,65,67,2-76,79, and 91. Still got several of them, one of the 76 ones is my farm truck, a few of the others might run again, if I ever get time(and $$$) to do it.

The Cawffee is making and the Hot water is heating. They oughta be ready to drink about 0500. It sounds like PE has an old truck graveyard.

Thanks for the coffee,TLD ;)

Think maybe that's an oxide field he's got there. ::)

69, cloudy. Radar looks like we're gonna get wet at some point here in a bit. Oh, well, I've got my rain poncho in the truck just in case ::) :P

Mornin', y'all.

Supposed ta nudge 90°, mebbe a t-storm later. But it's gettin' better. Days are noticeably shorter. Dark out when I woke up 'n I slept past 0500. 36 days 'til fall.

Bobbed one hammer o'er the years. Way back when. Some the better, more experienced dudes had 'em. Know it's been in the 14 in the PPC days. 14 has a semi-target in it now. Think I had it in sumthin' else. Like Maj, prolly in one I wish I hadn't sold. Still got the hammer inna box of parts. Saw it not long ago when I was lookin' for sumthin' else.

The old truck's hubcaps are all there – no dents in 'em. Don't see that too often with a vehicle pushin' 60 years old. Heck, the l'il gal cross the street has a fairly new Nissan Frontier. Gotta flat weeks ago 'n runnin' the spare. Wheels mismatched on the left side.

Seen a model 10 like mine in local gun shop not too long ago. Lady friend has her fathers service Model 10 also and his Beretta he was issued.
Majer i had to escort guys from Brinks a few years ago while they serviced Atm's on cAmpus. One had a revolver Taraus i believe, the other a Springfield   Xd. Told me they had to supply their own vest and firearm.  Couple of the guys i worked with said the same things.  Company now issues G22's or S&W revolver depending on site.  We have the G22's only one magazine

Nice cool morning watching the dogs and the hummingbirds play. Going to do some gardening in a little bit. Going to make some phrench toast and bacon first.

It sounds like PE has an old truck graveyard.

That pretty much sums it up. Used to be an old truck and old mail delivery car graveyard, but the scrap prices got too high, so most of the cars went away.

Looks like a decent day for cowboy shooting, t-storm chances are fairly low, but might get kind of humid by afternoon.

It rained about an hour last night, and started again about 0700. We sure need all we can get. It has cooled things down outside. I am enjoying my first cup of Cawffee and I feel fabulous!

Morning y'all.

Well today my sister is 14...  this could be getting interesting for a couple of brothers in this household. ;)

I've decided to be a bit adventurous today, as well.  I'm gonna try to take the truck across town.  Only three stop signs, but...

PE, we've got one of those '76s.  It's pretty much impossible to kill it.  We let it sit for four years, untouched (except by certain family members who wanted to "borrow" certain components, such as batteries, alternators, freeze plugs, etc.)  Then threw some fresh gasoline and some Mystery oil in, cranked the motor and drove home.  I did a lot of growing up with that truck involved.

We also have five vehicles in a three car driveway.  Looks rather "used car lot" -ish.  ::)

Arcey, my '62 Stude has all 4 caps. ::)  Only pre-1994 vehicle that does. :P

Hubcaps of the applicable style are important in AACA shows.

The 64, still filthy from Thursday's playtime. The inset shows the smooth trigger.

Best I can come up with is I've had it 37 years. The image is in full color, pards.
