Finished the little 1873 SRC 44wcf. The little carbine had been reblued when I purchased it ,but the original stock's had wood putty in numerous places and would not stay tight. So I restocked the SRC,with new walnut and applied an oil finish. While the carbine was apart it recieved a good cleaning a bore scrubbing,a replacement correct carbine rear sight, and I made a new spring and pin, for the finger lever latch. The old one was loose ,the saddle ring was missing so it was replaced also. I am happy with the way it turned out. Now a trip too the range .Sorry for the fuzzy pic. ,,,,,,Dusty

Looks mighty fine Dusty!  When you go to the range, maybe you can get a pic of it out in the sunshine.  Look forward to hearing your shooting results.  I took my '73 carbine to the range today, but will comment on it in the '73 forum.

That really turned out nice Dusty, congrats.  Our '73 carbines appear to be brothers, both were born in the same year!
