Hello all-
My two 20yr old open top Piettas were left to me as my father passed years ago.
His navy was his favorite, the 60 army had issues and he never shot it.
I've been working out the issues, most recently arbor fit, wedge fit, and frame lug length on the barrel, working to get solid repeatable barrel fitment. I may also have some work to do on the bolt. Very likely to fit a coil spring and plunger for the hand as well.
I've looked through 30 pages of this group's discussions. What a great resource!
Count me in Please.
As many of you do, I find the 60 Army to be one of the most elegant and handy revolvers ever produced.
I may soon be in the market for a 72 - and will likely chime in on the group's chatter on the cartridge guns.
Thanks for the great archive of discussion!
