Another handgun question
« on: September 01, 2009, 09:35:40 PM »
Do I need to ask for an exception for my 1892 New Army? It is in .41 calibre and has a 5" barrel. Although I'll be shooting in Mil-spec repeater, I won't be doing a U.S. impression. Don't know if that makes a difference or not. After reading some of the other threads I'm not sure. Thanks, Al.

You know, Al, it is OK to wear blue. After all there were a good number of "see-sesh" that fought in Cuba. ;)

Al, shoot infantry, no pistol is needed. Other then that, no telling what someone south of the border would have for a pistol.

Would that someday we were big enough to draw the line at calibers or differing handguns, but I don't see that happening in my lifetime.  And we'll sure not turn anyone away for using a larger than spec caliber.  And anyone using an M1892 New Army is for sure enough welcome. Bring it and shoot it.  What rifle are you using?

Thanks all for the advice. Jerry actually the uniform is blue, just not U.S.    Dusty, already got the belt rig might as well use it.    Sgt. Drydock, I'm mating the 1892 with an Argentine mauser(1891). Got home today and the last piece of gear was on the porch.  I'll try to post pictures tonite or tomorrow. Al.

An Argentine outfit? I'd be interested in what that looks like, since I have a nice 1891. Really nice, except of course the usual ground off crest.
