What is your favorite CAS pistol and why?

I like the Ruger Bisely Vaqueros the most because of the heft and laid back hammer.  I also like the fact that they fill up my hand more than a Colt replica.  That being said I also have a set of Colt replicas for when I feel the itch to shoot something different.

Definitely Curer Vaqueros. I started with a pair of birdsheads in 45LC SS 5 1/2, then switched to a pair of blued 7s.
I now own a pair in each of the following calibers. 45 LC,  38/357, 44-40, and 32H&R. All are SS. Darn cowboy game is like a disease. Actually I'm a gonna view this group as a support group. I need help.

I'm shooting .357  Uberitis with 3.5 barrels but am migrating to Rugers. I like the shorter barrels as they clear the holster faster and with the short distances to the targets, I don't see a need for longer barrels. Downside is the short ejector rod sometimes doesn't kick the spent shell out.

But whom cares!!  Some while back, I built myself a swell pair of 1860 Richards Conversions.  Donor(s) are laser engraved Pietta with Kirst Konverter Saber River engraved cylinders and ejector assemblies.  Barrels cut to the Ejectors.  Marvelous FUN!!  You Betcha.

My pair of Uberti Remington 1875's in 44-40 are my favorites. The Remington fit my big hands better and I've not had a lick of trouble with them in over 10 years shooting them. Also just got a pair of Remington 1890's in 45 Colt so this may cause a rift between the two models. ( I keep them separated in the safe!)

I have some of all of them but my favorites, and the ones I shoot, are the open tops. Mostly with conversion cylinders and smokeless powder but occasionally a little 3F.

Iffin after all this time, Griff is still shooting the same gunz, why waste film for "new" pictures of the same gunz??  Good management of resources you betcha!! 

Good on ya Griff.  Heck, I'm still shooting the same 1860 Conversions I built about 6 and 8 years ago.  Of course, yours are a mite more seasoned than that, but hey, whatever workz.

PS:  Oh Balderdash.  I forgot to mention my Chameleons.  1872/72 Open Tops.  Yessiree Bob!!  My fav "Go-To" gunz for about 20 years.  They are set up with ALL the Barrel/Cylinder combinations. .38Spl, .44Spl, and 45 Schofield.  Allowing me to shoot about 8 different cartridges on the same well tuned frames.  Oh, and ALL the barrels adjusted to the Ejector Assembly.  Superb balance you betcha!!

I'm still shooting my 3 screw Blackhawks. I did take a side trip with a pair of Jimmy Spurs Bisley Vaqueros for 2 seasons (Modified actions, no transfer bar, half cock notch added) But went back to my Blackhawks.Have been using them for 26 of the 28 years I've been shooting CAS.  The pistol on the left and bottom right are my main match pistols, the top right is my back up.

Looking through this old thread, I never posted my favorites, although I have on other forums.  I've had these for over 20 years but still my faves - these days they mostly just get shot with BP at about 5 annual matches per year.
