Those jockeys look great, Wayne. I really enjoyed your second video, too. I'd never thought about using a camo instead of a veiner. It really does give it a subtly different look. Great vid. Great work on those pieces.

WC,  I am going to have to go to your photobucket more often. You are putting out some fantastic work and even more fantastic info.  I for one really appreciate the extra effort.

On your camo video is that leather damp?To my eye it looked good before you started, how do you know to stamp there? Is that just a design you are familiar with and you know that's where you stamp?

Holy Smokes WC  :o :o :o :o
You are AWESOME!!!!!!! You amaze me more everyday!! The detail of your carving is so realistic that It just smokes me away!! I hope when you come to see me, that you have that saddle with you, I have some cowboy friends I want to show that to!!! One of my best friends rides a lot, and he has a TON of money, he went to a Rodeo Days event last year and found a pair of spurs that he wanted, he went up to $2000.00 on them, but didn't get them bought! So I know that your saddle will blow his mind!!! Also my banker is a rodeo roper and I want to show it to him also!!!
I am getting more excited as the time is getting closer!!

Thanks for showing us the way you do what you do, because I am sure that I am not the only one that you inspire!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Ace, wait til you see WC carve, and get a first hand look at the saddle. There's nothin to it really. Just be born with a lot of talent, then practice like heck for many years, and you too can carve like that! Simple isn't it? Let me know how it works for you ::)

Howdy All
Got a lot of work done the last 2 days. I tried something new to me and will not go back to the old ways.
I have many slickers wood, bone, plastic, etc. I tried canvas on my fenders, the burnish is darker and much smoother that I've ever done in the past and with no more effort.

Well the seat is shaped and waiting to be trimmed. Then I can figure where the patterns are going. Re-wet and flatten it out and do all the carving.

WC, that saddle is shaping up real well, it won't be long now and we'll be drooling over it, I can't wait to see it finished, you have a winner for sure. ::) :o 8) ;D

Ace I know you and Wayne will get along just great, and the little time you will have together will be very fruitful, WC will get you going in the right direction, and open up a whole new world to you in leather carving and a bunch more. and then we'll all wait to hear what a great time you two had.

Best Regards to both my Buds
