32 Lemonsqueeze
« on: March 04, 2009, 09:24:14 PM »
I bought a S&W 32 lemon squeeze the other day , serial # 18,9xx  it has good grips, slightly pitted
bore with good rifling, about 25-30% nickel left. I shot 10 rounds through it and it worked
fine, after cleaning I took the side cover off, wow no rust and looked like new inside. Now
I'm thinking about using it at NCOWS matches. I know a gunsmith that renickels these
and they turn out great. Would that be wise or would it be better to leave it alone

If he can do the old time looking nickle I would get it done.  In it's present condition it has little collector's value and they look so nice redone.  I had a 32 Smith done and have never regretted it.
