Latest on WR color guard
« on: February 10, 2009, 11:00:39 PM »
Here is where we stand.  As of now we have five participants for sure; Dubious Don, Lou Graham, Grizzly Adams, Pigpen and Sagebrush Burns, and one maybe; Joe LaFives.

If we are five we will likely go with three flags (US, Arizona, GAF) and two guards.  If that is the case, I will be Sgt. Burns and one of the five.  If we end up with six, I will be Col. Burns and go in front.  I will bring my Spencer carbine and (with his permission) borrow one from Lt Col Scratch for the guards.  We could also go with sabers (I have two), but rifles are easier for marching - no scabbard to trip on.

We will meet at the main tent at 6PM on Wednesday for a quick introduction and practice and be ready to wow 'em Thursday morning.

I am looking forward to honoring the colors and it will be my privilege and honor to march with with all of you.

Your obedient servant,
Sagebrush Burns

Andy:
As you know I'll be there its just the duty that might drag me away.  I'll have a uniform on either way.
