Again, Greetings to all.
Having pretty much resolved the clothing issues, I turn now to a firearm question. Am very close to ordering a Sharps Carbine...already have the shoulder sling strap. I don't intend on using paper cartridges at all times, probably quite infrequently but have a question about bullet lube. I do understand the loading procedure for a bullet into the chamber and dropping the correct amount of BP into the chamber area and locking it up, capping, setting the cock, and letting 'er rip. What about bullet lube....don't really want, if possible, greasy fingers each time I load up. I do have some paraffin and bees wax and am wondering if a concoction of this mix will serve properly. I don't think a mix that I can make up will be too greasy, but will it do the proper job of lubing the bullet?
I thank you in advance on any ideas about lube, suggestions, what you use, about my ideas, or anything else related to sharps shooting....and to all a very Merry Christmas....
I remain,
Sincerely,
Two Dot Wrangler (at the leading edge of the Oregon Coast Storms.....)
