Civil War bufffs should visit this  site:

http://www.civilwar.org/chantilly/

It would be great to have this type of information available for other battlefields.

Also known as the Battle of Ox Hill. I live all of five minutes from the original battlefield and drive through it on the way to work each day.  Unfortunately, there isn't much left of the battlefield.  Now its several shopping malls and shopping centers, lots of townhouses, and 4 lane roads.

The Fairfax County Park Authority just dedicated an interpretive exhibit at the small park left of the battlefield.  The park is only a few hundred square feet and took major effort by Civil War historians and enthusiasts (including the late Brian Pohanka) to save.  Ed Wenzel, a member of the Civil War Roundtable that I belong to, has been the most active in preserving this last remaining bit of the battlefield.
