Uberti's 2008 1860 Model
« on: October 20, 2008, 03:36:00 PM »
Here is what Uberti is putting out for 2008 for the FUll Fluted Cylinder 1860 Colt Army .
She is tight , very clean , fit is near perfect everywhere , and trigger pull is exceptional . The case hardened colors are pretty good on this Uberti , better than normal .
Very pretty gun right out of the box , will look outstanding with the blank of Black Walnut I just posted about .

Cool gun , glad its here finally , and I am well on my way to grabbing enough 1860's to catch up to Flint  ;D

Ha ha Grizzly , yup a chew toy ;D  . I am pretty sure she feels the WORLD , the whole world is her chew toy  ;D . Besides real chew toys , she chews everything else at the same time too , that's what Beagles do , it is the bread actually .
That and the Hunt !!!!! Awsome dogs .

Thanks , ALabama

the chewing is cureable ...... take a stick of deoderant (powder base not gel) and put it on the favorite chew spots like chair leggs and other stuff you don't want nawwed on
the line between genius and madness may be a fine one ,but theres a big brick wall between crazy and stupid

Yeah I am fortunate in that I have a pretty fair sized piece of land here. I do all my shooting right off my deck.

Heres a few pics from my deck.

North

East

West

For fun I will occasionally drag out the Sharps & set a peace of 4' x 8' plywood shaped like a buffalo. Paint it black & lean it against the tree just below the power lines in the pic of "West".
True distance ::shrug:: I guestimate about 1800yds. Buffs at that distance from me have little to fear unless the Sharps gods are smiling on me.

If you look at the ridge line to the North I have taken 2 deer with my Sharps that were on it. Distance, a might over 800yds. Amazingly enough, that 50-110 does relatively little meat damage.

Thanks fellas... Its my little slice of heaven.

Has its own challenged though. I used to complain that it took me 3hrs to mow my last place. Now it takes me 4 days with a 6' bush hog  >:(
