OK,  with all the splitter information fresh off we went to look,  went to Atwoods, farm supply store, they had 10% off for everything if your 55 or older, so I got the 28 ton splitter with the 10.5 HP motor.
brought it home and played with it a little, man it split everything with not so much as a strain, It cut through the largest ones we had, 20 inches across, and it sure does save your back when you can stand it up.  ;D

we got all the birds moved today, so I guess tomorrow we'll split wood. ;D

thanks for all the comments, made the choice a little easier.

It seems like it does a good job,  played with it a little and it sures operates smooth.  and it sure is a lot easier than trying to bust em with a maul.

Evenin' folks!

Welcome back, Tensleep.  Glad y'all had fun.  Too bad I couldn't make it out there. :(

For the reall big stuff, 2 ft or more in diamiter, Grandpa alwasy liked the hand drill, a tablespoon of blasting powder a wooded plug, hunk a fuse and a kithen math.  One of them hydralic ones might be better, but not as much fun. ;D

Del, did you bite your tongue? :D

Mornin’, y’all.

The wimmens were all sleepin’ again this mornin’ sos I said the heck with it ‘n flopped down myownself.  Woke up ‘n they’s gone.  One of ‘em done done the dishes.  Made me some coffee, grabbed one my favorite mugs out the drain rack ‘n filled ‘er up.

Musta been the l’il one what did the washin’.  Used soap on my mug.  Instead of that pure coffee aroma I got one mixed with dish detergent.  The big one knows better'n soapin' one my mugs.

I wash my home mugs just to keep the clutter put away.  My office mug is different story.  It's a stainless steel mug that tasted awful until several months of seasoning before the cleaning guy put it in the machine. :'( :'(  It took twice as long to season it, but now it's gooooood again... black as night!

You was bustin' somethin' at tha mall?  :o

I didn't know Ozark had ah Mall  ::)

There's plenty what needs bustin' at tha mall. ;D ;D

;D  well they got an antique mall, down there by the BBQ place.  but one of them antique mauls might not bust any wood.

and the real reason I got one,  Jackie refused to split any wood with a maul,  and I sweet talked her and all.  took her out to eat BBQ.  I mean what else could there be.  :o  ;D

It was the BBQ what did it. ;D ;D

Ow, send me some crawdads and some frog legs, maybe some black eyed peas with smoked hog jowls.  Don't put sugar in my iced tea though. ;)  Love Southern food, just not sugar in my tea, can I get it that way down there?
