WWI US Army Riding Boots or Lace up Logger style in Russet
« on: September 27, 2007, 03:11:38 pm »
Well, I have a question for the group.  Anyone out there have a source for the tall Riding/Field Boots used by US Army Officers from 1916 thru 1941.  Either the pull on type or the lace up as used by the US Army in the 1920's and '30's.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.

Dehner's - in Omaha, Nebraska.

They actually made them at the time for the Army Officers from the Cavalry School and Horse Cavalry units - including Patton and Reagan...

They're expensive - custom made from 'your' foot measurements.

In more modern days, you've seen examples of their work if you've ever seen 'real' Tanker Boots.

I'm sure there's an outfit somewhere that's more reasonably priced, though.

Good Luck.
