1883 Issue Shirt

Gentlemen,

Those of you who portray US Army enlisted men in the latter part of the 19th century ought to take a look at what is probably the best-made, most authentic reproduction of the 1883 issue shirt. It's made by Nick Sekela (Historic Clothiers) and you can see it at www.njsekela.com Click on the Historical Reproductions link, then the Model 1883 Shirt link.

Nick has only recently revived his Web page and needs to find the time to describe this item in detail. However, I've found he is easy to contact directly and happy to tell you about it. He has one of those "Blackberry" doo-dads and may get back to you only a few minutes after you send your e-mail. nick@njsekela.com

Nick sells his wares through two vendors who specialize in high-quality items for Civil War reenactors and civilians:
E. J. Thomas https://www.shop.ejtsutler.com/splashPage.hg
Carter & Jasper Mercantile http://www.carterandjasper.com/
Nick also has regional representatives, see the following for contact information: http://www.cwreenactors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1326

By the way, feel free to ask about anything else that is or isn't shown on the Web page. Nick has great resources and is willing to discuss just about anything you may have in mind. Tell him Frenchie LaFrance sent you!

Those are good looking shirts.
Listen!  Do you hear that?  The roar of Cannons and the screams of the dying.  Ahh!  Music to my ears.
