They look cool, but the originals were blued. I guess we can push period correctness now and then. ;)

Mesquito,

I was given two by the wife & kids last Christmas...they were made by Pietta and are listed in Cabelas, I'm not sure weather Taylor's is Pietta or Uberti made.  These are the ones with the casehard frames, checkered wood grips and all remaining hardware is the std. dark blued steel, barrel length at 7.5".  These were timed well right out of the box.  They shoot to POA with about 24 grs. of FFFG Goex, no wads but a little bore butter over the .454 ball.  At fifteen yards, I can make a large size fist pattern (3"-5" dia.) shooting one handed, freestanding....with a few scattered.  They function well, I lightened the springs a lttle bit some Cap & Ballers don't recommend this, but the hammers are fairly heavy, whcih is a good thing.

Wish you luck on yer looking.

Yo Mesquito!!

Went to the Taylor & Co. website and took a good look at those 58's, they are Uberti per the listing and they look mighty fine.  I ain't never had no BAD Uberti, got a plenty of em, mostly open tops and Cattlemen SAA and, they all shoot better than I do.

One of them solid frame Remmies would put a smile on my face too!
