.45acp brass question
« on: May 03, 2012, 06:53:17 AM »
I was cleaning out some old shooting supplies and found a bag of mixed loaded acp.  Some of the brass on the rounds have some flacked off (lack of better terms) portions.  I was not aware these were in loose in a bag to begin with and was not aware such things happend to the case.  I am not sure if it would be safe to fire in my .45.  So my question is I am not sure how to go about disposing of them so to speak.  Could the bullets be pulled and reused and if so how does one go about it?  then what does one do with the case? I am not sure about quality with the flaking going on.

Got a picture?

Loaded ammo can be disassembled.  The most economical is the inertial bullet puller.  Dump the powder, drop oil in the primers to neutralize them, and see what you have left that might be reused.
