Would anyone know the thread size for the loading gate screw on q 66 carbine? Trying to get a gate retapped

I don't know, but there are two different sizes. Older Ubertis with a numeric-only serial number were smaller. Newer (but still going back a ways) rifles with a "W" prefix for serial number, those used a larger screw.

This may seem a silly question, but did you strip the threads off the screw?? Or out of the Side Plate?? There are no threads in the Ladle itself. If the Side Plate is stripped, that can be problematic.
