Does anyone have recommendations on who/where to get to add checkering to a Uberti 73 stocks? I'm fine with laser done checkering like the factory Uberti just so it has the look of original.

Well .... actually no.  At present, nada clue.  However, some Lustrum ago, I bought a bunch of checkering tools from Brownells and then cut the handles (curved, dontcha know) off a couple of inexpensive (Cheap) garden tools, and used same to learn to checker.  I don't do it anymore (some time consuming) as when I retired, I sold the tools on to someone else with the patience to learn to checker.  Best of luck in your endeavor.

There is a guy named Taz that travels the country going to different shoots with a laser engraver for checkering stocks.  I think he is the only one left.  He attends EOT, Winter Range and a bunch of others.  Rather than checking I had sort of a fish scale pattern put on my 73 at Winter Range.  Very nice and gives a much better grip.
