I have a question for those more informed (and intelligent!) than I. I have a New Vaquero stainless and I'd like to smoth out some sharp edges on the hammer. Question is, how should I go about this without completely destroying the finish?
All growed up and still playin' Cowboy!

Cratex wheel or a deburring wheel.  Cratex wheels generally are made to fit a Dremel and come in a variety of grits.  One nice thing about stainless is you really can't destroy the finish as it doesn't have any.  The shine can be brought back with a polishing wheel and a little rouge.

Why Larsen, I didn't know you used rouge too!! Lol !!! I was going to say, a little eye liner and once around with the powder puff and she'll look better than ever!!! Lol !! (I just couldn't resist!!)

Ive only had  one stainless revolver and it wasn't a Ruger (was a '58 Pietta Buffalo),  but it was nice to not have to worry about a finish!

If only Pietta would manufacture their 1851 and 1860 in Stainless.  Nirvana!!  I am thinking of having a pair of my go-to Cap Guns plated over the winter.  I've been wanting to try out "Metalife."  Outfit here in PA  does it.  Interesting.  Either that or Hard Chrome.
