Hello pards,

I was not happy with the wrong rear sight of my Henry as well as not happy with the existing rear sight of my 1876 Chappie.. :-[

So i attached the 1876 rear sight to my Lincoln and this works out quit nicely - with zero additional costs ;D

I'm trying to figure out how the rear sight From a Chaparral is more correct than the rear sight original to your rifle.  Henry rifles were original with a flip up ladder rear sight, mounted either on the barrel or on the receiver.  The sight itself was the same ???  Just curious.

Sorry to confuse you ;)

my Henry does not have the correct ladder rear sight. (Gone with the wind)

Thats the reason for this "cheap" solution using the Chappie sight..

Mine does - markings on side plate/receiver are for upcoming "transition" project.
