Lookin' for a spinnin' gun
« on: June 12, 2011, 11:27:56 PM »
Hey fellas. I've been doing gun spinning on a devoted level for the past year or so, using a denix peacemaker I picked up at a local shop many ages ago. Well, after one too many drops I'm very eager to retire the denix. The hammer spring is shot, the cylinder is out of time, the trigger is loose, the cylinder retining pin is partially snapped off, the hammer spur is broken off, and finally, the barrel snapped in two. As we speak it is literally being held together with duct tape.

I'm looking to get another one (obviously). This time, I'd rather get a more official piece. I like the aluminum models on westernstageprops.com, but - blast it - they refuse to ship nearly anything on their site to California.

Please folks, point me in the right direction.

Don't bother with those, they will break the first time ya spin it unless it is a blank firing.Joey Dillon likes to use Cimmarons,ya need a wide trigger for better spinning.Joey lives in Modesto about an hour or so north of me.I've talked to him a few times and this is what he told me...

How ya doin at spinnin,i can't use my index finger for nothin, too short, but i have yet to get the wider trigger too.I wish someone would make a cheap one made for spinning...

Ah My Dear Rick -
You are going about the thing the wrong way around .... What you need to do is buy a Custom Genuine Colt for spinning! you will find that the incentive "not to drop it" skyrockets so enormously that you will perform maneuvers that would rival Michelle Yo or Jackie Chan to keep from dropping something that set you back the price of a used car....

or go pick up some brass frame C&B Colt clone pistols - pretty darn cheap and who cares if you drop em?

Like Joey would tell ya: "practice spinning over your bed!"

There's an outfit down in San Clemente that ships them (blank shooters)
with a "display" board...No shipping problems...worked when I got one down in San Diego.
No shipping problems a'tall...nice feeling Peacemaker as well!

Yea when i got mine, there was a feller in San Francisco that had them, but he knew the guys in Nevada and that's where he got them,it's to protect Ca. sales, that's the reason behind some ffl laws, dealers want you to buy here at thier prices too...The ffl guys in my opinion are the reason for "NO SALES TO CALIFORNIA"if it was nationally it would be NO SALES TO THE U.S. Lot of sales in law enforcement guns..California wants that money.
