Colt .45
« on: July 31, 2010, 04:18:21 PM »
Just saw the old movie Colt .45 with Randolph Scott, well part of it anyway as I was channel flipping, on the Western Channel.

Despite the name, I don't think there was one in the movie.  Why?  Every revolver shown was a cap and ball.  Saw what looked like Walkers, dragoons, and 1851s.

Also the leather was humorous.  No cartridge loops, of course.  But, they did have tied down dropped holster rigs.

Yah, gotta see it if you get the chance.  Netflix has it on instant play, for those of you that subscribe to that.

Leave it to Hollyweird and Travis would've had a Gatling gun at the Alamo, but of course it would have been broken...
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.
