Thanks, guys. Like I always say, do you want the gun to look like a real gunman uses it or a piano player in a cathouse.  ;)

My other Colt Frontier Six Shooter has came back from SAA restoration expert John Schultz. Everything done to it as on the nickel one, i.e., proper 19th century BP cylinder bevels, serial #'s stamped correctly, proper tall front sight installed for 7.5" barrel, real 19th century Colt style reblue & fire blue appmts., ".44 CAL" stamped on left rear TG flat as some early FSS's had & finally real walnut grips fitted with six coats of Truoil to simulate 19th century Colt civilian varnish finish. Hammer cased with real case colors from Classic Guns in IL.

I only have a Cimarron,,but my Model P ,,black powder frame is very like your Colt. My favorite configeration. I would like a 4 3/4 with perhaps tru-Ivory,,but the walnut looks 'just right' on the 7 1/2.

Fine looking Colt you have there , Fox Creek.

FCK, what you had done is what Colt should have done in the first place. I've got a pair of FSS's with 4 3/4" tubes, one made in the early 1980's and one of the 2008 releases. The pair are identical except the newer one has the acid etched FSS and the older gun has the roll engraved marking. Enjoy 'em, I know both of mine are shooters. ;D
