I was told recently that I'm "livelier than a one-legged man at a butt-kicking contest."    Is that an insult or a compliment?

Did you ever hear a song or see something on TV that brought back old memories? On the news this morning, they announced the running of the 151st Kentucky Derby tomorrow. It made me think of another Derby, the Soap Box Derby. I entered Milwaukee's Soap Box Derby in 1953 and 1954. It was sponsored by Chevrolet and they treated the entrants to many events such as Milwaukee Braves ball games etc. One event came to mind. We got to see a stock race at the Milwaukee Mile. Before the race, we got to meet Marshall Teague in pits. I remember him driving a Hudson Hornet.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

I know that happens to me, something stirs the nostalgia.
I guess it's lifetime of great memories.
