Title: New Winchester (Miroku) M92
Post by: ammodave on October 16, 2020, 03:19:59 PM
Been looking for a '92 short rifle in .357 mag..  Can't seem to find one anywhere.  Lots of online retailers list them in the $850 range but they're all "out of stock".  Is this a COVID thing or are they just that popular?

I can't see how places stay in business, when they never have anything in stock  ???

To your question .... you need only read
https://www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2020/07/13/three-million-more-guns-the-spring-2020-spike-in-firearm-sales/

The Spring 2020 143% spike in firearm sales have continued.

Firearms, Ammo & components are in short supply due to both Covid19  & civil unrest driving sales, and a greatly reduced manufacturing labor force.

So...Yes to your two part question .... Covid19  AND short supply

I understand the spike in "assault weapon" (whatever that is) sales 'cause Beto O'Rourke is coming to get them but a Winchester '92.......

Please don't anybody tell Beto that the Henry was the original assault rifle!

They show up on gunbroker every week or so, but be prepared to pay a huge premium.
I saw one a couple weeks back go for $1750.
No, that's not a typo.   :o
