Just received my Freund sharps from Schuetzen Gun Co, a custom rifle built by Richard to my specs, and engraved by Master engraver Marty Rabeno. The majority of the engraving is a duplication of a famous original Freund rifle. The rifle features the double extractors and the camming breech block, which are some of Freund's improvements. It is a 50-90 with a heavy 32 inch barrel. This composite pic does not do it justice, I will post a few more pics soon.

Especially cool rifle! You don't see those every time you go to the range.

what does the camming breech block do?

Holy Moses - that's incredible! Congratulations on a rifle of a lifetime.

My oh my! Ain't that just a dandy. (smiley face goes here)
On a more serious note: that's a beautiful custom rifle.

Be sure and let us know how it shoots.

what does the camming breech block do?
The way the breach block drops has been slightly altered. Instead of sliding straight down the breach block tips back a bit. When reloading it is pressed forward, thus camming the new round into battery. The original causes a tight round, if the rim isn't fully seated, to halt the closing of the breach.

Seems like a neat feature
