Title: Grip craver/engraver?
Post by: nativeshootist on October 15, 2019, 03:30:24 AM
Idk if this is the right board, but does anyone have any recommendations for a grip engraver? I know itll be costly but I am looking for a specific type of grip that looks like itll be a custom piece. The grip I've been looking at is the "Eve" grip. I know cimarron has a picture of a open top with the grips and theirs a older colt SAA with the grips. But I'd like a pair and what I've found is dixie gun works "saloon girl" grip and a buffalo brothers "lady" grip that has an awful 80s hair do.  So long story short is I'd like the "Eve" grip and wonder if anyone has recommendations of a craver I can contact?

I know the guy that does a lot of the carving and scrimshaw for Nutmeg.  The only thing he has done for me is fitting a set of one piece Ivory to a Colt.  PM me and I will give you his name and phone number if you are interested.  He is not inexpensive.

I oft have had a "Craving" for flashy grips.  At one time I had a craving for Donuts as well, but alas, I'm on a diet.  No Donuts.  Drat.

I believe Paul Persinger in El Paso carved the "Eve" grips on Cimarron's Opentop s/n X01.
