Title: New Spencer owner serial number help

Hi All. Fairly new to Spencers could anyone help with a 1860 carbine I purchased hear in the UK the serial number is 26752 and has H5911 on the butt stock. Many thanks Richard.

Regarding your Spencer Carbine serial # 26752.  I found two Spencer serial #s close to yours.

26760 -  a Spencer Carbine issued to Company B, 4th Kentucky Mounted Infantry on March 13, 1865

and

26762 - a Spencer Carbine issued to Company L, 2nd New York Volunteer Cavalry in March of 1865
