Howdy!
Here's a picture from the local paper. I'm the VP of a local civic group dedicated to history and local things here in Waverly, MO (as you've heard all too often, probably). Last month, we put on an evening of music and soup served outside, over a fire from a big kettle.
I'm the lone Yankee in a Rebel town, so I put away the musket and carry a pair of pistols and a Henry. If it gets REALLY hairy with the Rebs, I go elsewhere. This impression will change a little bit over the coming months. I think Sarge is going to have an eyepatch soon (Rebel artillery and a wooden fence figure into that tale). He's too good to lose, so he's been detailed to recruit for the Infantry in Missouri. I'll keep you informed.
