What sort of symptons should you look for if your Schofield replica is going out of time or needs parts replacements.
I just noticed this one. I had a Uberti Schofield get out of time. The symptom is that the bolt does not rise fast enough and it nicks the edge of the notch in the cylinder as it rises, then drags. The gun is harder to cock as a result. While I am not a gunsmith, I have seen other Schofields that were timed to drop the bolt onto the cylinder about halfway between notches. This is where I have my bolt set to drop. Acording to the destruction manual that came with my Uberti Schofields, the dragging of the bolt oon the cylinder is intentional by design. Hope this helps.
