A good buddy of mine out in Montana has always been a fan of 4 (or more) loop holsters. I’ll admit I’m a sucker for them as well. So I decided for my Sunday fun project I’d make him one. I started with my SC Gallup/ slim Jim style belt holster and added a skirt with loops. I used my new “thistle” makers stamp courtesy of my good friend here on the forum. The holster is made of good tough 9-10 ounce veg tan from the fine folks at Thoroughbred Leather in Louisville, Kentucky, stitched with linen thread from Ben Geisler that I wax myself, and finished with neatsfoot oil. (I normally use olive oil).
All in all it was a fun project and I’m tickled with how it turned out.
I hope everyone is doing well, God bless!

That looks great. Good job adding the skirt and loops. The most I've done is three loops but four looks mighty good. Nice job, pard.

Very nice! You did a great job of laying out and spacing the 4 loops.

WOW ! I like that, and the color most elegant.

Very nice. I have never done a looped holster, maybe someday.
