From what I could find out this .44 cal. revolver was produced by German immigrants during the CW in the little village Sisterdale in the Texas Hill Country north of San Antonio.
Only one specimen seems to be existing.
My "crazy" Austrian smith would like to rebuild one for his collection ... like he did a the Colt 1855 Root Dragoon a few years back.
I would like to get in touch with the current owner to find out some of the technicals specs for him.
If you can help with information regarding the whereabouts of this one revolver please, let me know by PM in confidence.
Thanks & regards,

The Sisterdale resides in the Bullock Texas History Museum in Austin. Jw

I guess this means I need to make a trip to Austin. Much as I hate the god forsaken place. But I haven't been to the Bullock in 15 years.

Thanks, pards.
I checked back with the Bullock Museum.
It appears the Sisterdale is not there any longer.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks & regards,

The museum sold it at auction about 5 years ago. You could call this auction house and ask but I don’t think they’re allowed to give out personal information of people. And who knows if the winning bidder even still has it. https://youtu.be/M9ZhfHjtcvQ
