Hey folks!
As many of our loyal users know, CAScity has not been accessible since June 20th at around 6AM. Our server and site have been running the entire time, but a machine ( hypervisor environment ) controlling the traffic to various websites was down due to a ransomware attack.
Corespace, our server provider, has been busy restoring it from backup and unfortunately this took quite some time and at the same time making sure no websites have been compromised.
We were back online today ( 6/22 ) at 10:30AM central.
All of our data are intact and we are hopefully back to normal operations.
Ransomware attacks are an increasing problem in the virtual world and the "bas....rds keep finding new ways to create damage and force corporations to pay. In this case, they didn't make a dime though.....

Convict the perps to Life + 100 years

Malicious hackers, as well as internet and telephone fraudsters, should be considered terrorists and prosecuted as such.
Thanks, Marshall!

Just received a call from the United States Medicare Office. They wanted to alert me that my Medicare card was about to expire and they were going to send out a new one.
At least that's what I think they said.
To be honest after the seventeenth time I asked them to repeat their spiel because I was having trouble understanding their foreign accent, they hung up on me in frustration.
Now I'll never get my shiny new card.

Hey, is this why my topic isn't there in the Frontier Iron forum? I was asking some detailed questions about the various smith model 3s on the market, and wasn't able to load the site for a long time.
Now the site is back up, but the topic I posted (and was getting some excellent help in) is gone.
Can I expect it to return when more problems are fixed or should I start again?

I tell them their country will always be a 3rd world shit hole as long as their main export if fraud, ben told that's mean because they are just trying to make a living. I remind them that bank robbers and drug dealers are just trying to do the same thing.

I see no posts between June 19 @ 3:40PM and June 22 at 10:37am. This is the window where we have no way to restore.

Yeah, that's about when I was asking. Well, now I know, thank you.
I'll start that topic up again.

Thank you for the update, Marshal. It's good that it wasn't worse.

Ya at least 25 years for the morons that keep calling me and sending me letters telling me my 2013 Ford Edge warranty is about to expire and I need to take fast action so I won't have to spend thousand's for repairs when it expires. Ignore and toss the letters and don't even pick up my landline phone. Dirty little secret is I traded the 2013 in for a 2017, told them once I no longer have the vehicle, guess they don't understand the Kings English. Probably get calls and letters on the 2017 when I trade that off. >:(

Thanks for the update, sir.

Same thing here... and same 2017 Edge too ::) I bet I've received a least 15 or more "this is the very last attempt to reach me"
I have a list as long as my arm of blocked numbers on my cell phone.

Del said > " been told that's mean because they are just trying to make a living"
Any mealy mouth, snowflake that would utter that argument , needs to be Offed ::) total waste of breathable oxygen !
" just trying to make a living " ???

Glad you're back up. 8)
My Discover card got hacked and I cancelled it and they sent me a new one. It only got hacked for $8.99 from a NetFlix user. I don't have NetFlix. There was also an inquiry from Spotify but no charges. I do not or never have had Spotify! Watch your accounts closely the hackers will try and sneak in a small charge hoping you don't see it then BOOM, they'll hit you with a big one!

Someone got to my bank ATM card number and put on a charge for a zoom call, which I can't do anyway - bank cancelled the card, reversed the charges and sent me a new card, since I was never in Portland, Oregon.

That is typical operating procedure.
Thiefs get ahold of a bunch of credit card numbers and "test" them by attempting to make small purchases to see if the numbers are good. Then, as you said, if sale goes through they make the big purchases, likely gift cards that are good as cash.
Then they're gone.
