Title: 40-60 shooters
Post by: Ranch 13 on February 13, 2020, 10:27:06 AM
Just a heads up if you go to Guns International and look under reloading brass, there's an outfit in Nebraska that has a good deal on Jamison 40-60 brass, and should 45-90's be on your need list, they got those as well. Altho they have 200 less than they did have. ;D

The Jamison 40-60 wcf  brass has worked very well in my 1876 Winchesters . Wish they would still make 40-60 , 45-60 , 45-75 , 50-95 ,,,DT

I ordered 100, just for chits n giggles. might maybe someday get a 76 in that caliber. Like to get one in every caliber, short rifles. Not too much to ask for, is it?

Ron, Jamison is but a memory in the dust bin. The company folded and all their equipment has been sold at auction. When I ordered the 45-90 brass from this outfit, during the conversation with them it sounds like they are looking at the possibility of expanding from their bullet making and are comptemplating building brass. I gave them a suggested list of brass should they decide to go that route. It might not hurt for other folks to contact them and let them know a list of brass to consider if/when they get into production.

Yes it was. They had some 2 7/8 brass at close to the same price, but I've got a couple of lifetime supplies for those 2 rifles so didn't order any , as maybe someone else could put them to better use.

I got my bag of 100 today. Should I get another, just to have them, just in case, while they are available? Don't have the rifle yet. I don't know. I guess 100 should last my lifetime. They are still available, better grab some while they last.

That outfit was sure a pleasure doing business with. The 45-90's I ordered were delivered about the time I thought the check might be getting there. :)
