Major they look quite well .... even if i had hair .... nope. I never thought i’d let a mans hair style keep him from a job. When i was able to hire. I don’t think that along with ear groumets and face tattoos. - either sex- would get the same treatment today.
Got to 50 yesterday- calling for same today
-
Morning all.
Having a bit of a warm spell in Billings yesterday and today. 42 yesterday, and today is forcast for 45. Currently 31. Monday and Tuesday we're supposed to have highs of -1 and -2 respectively and lows in the mid negative teens.
Three classes today, get done at 2. Then I'm free for the weekend. Sort of. I have a lot of studying to do.

Morning Y'all, My daughter was involved in an accident back in Dec, the guy that hit her took off and was chased down by one of the witnesses, He has evaded all attempts of the insurance company to contact him. I got a call from my Ins. companies investigator who told me the guy is out on parole for murder. I have no idea where this will lead to but it looks like I'll be on the hook for the cost of repairs to her car. Not real happy right now.
-
Here that would revoke his parole. New York who knows.
Rowdy is doing real good, he needs a wig though.

Liberals in NY ??? Probably , site his troubled youth and give him a walk with time served ....
Major, does she not have uninsured motorist coverage ?
-
Morning Coffee is brewing some blend my sister sent from her church’s missionary project, from Guatemala ... very smooth with hint of cocoa.
Good news on Rowdy.
AE I keep one fully insured and my jeep with liability. But like Major2 said, does not uninsured/underinsured coverage on your policy help? Either way it is not right you are responsible.

Morning y'all.
Thanks for the coffee.
Going to the toy store after lunch to extend the wifi from the shop to the house.

Her car has full coverage, But I still have to come up with the $500.00 deductible which is hard since I'm on disability. He was pardoned by our supreme commander arrogant andy cuomo, who Y'all may have recently heard has signed into law abortion up to term and has taken the penalty for a fetus being killed by a criminal act off the law books. This state sucks with it's ultra liberal policies, but I am stuck here .

Afternoon all.
Currently 45, working up to a theoretical 50. Clouds moved in and I don't see that happening. Then tonight we are supposed to get our first taste of that polar vortex business. 6" white stuff by noon tomorrow, and a high of 15. Then the rest of the week is supposed to hover around zero.
--TK
-
Polar vortex is a weather channel word.
From living in Montana for 10 years.. I know they have two (2) seasons July and first 2 weeks in August summer. The rest of the trip around the sun are winter. I would chop ten to twelve inches of ice off stock ponds daily for cattle to drink from. Life went on. Eastern part of state was always colder with lighter snow than the western part of the state.
Watch Havre and Cut Banks tempatures.
AE homocumo would have never got elected here.

Well I'm sure I'm on a lot of shit lists. Tired of the Stupor Bowel stuff, people don't get the hint you don't are and keep trying to interest you till you tell them watching football and watching porn is just something people who can't do it do. ;D
After that all you hear is crickets. ::)

I'm not watching it either.

Glad I didn't have to work tonight, one day I'm just going to tell someone I don't fing care.

I tell people , "I could not care less"....
they have one of those square box calendar looking things , you buy a square for $5 or so bucks.
If the score lands on your Square you win the pot.
I don't waste my time or money, I don't listen to the Hype or rants of who's gonna win , why and cause... Didn't care.
But I suppose, I'd have to live under rock not to know the New England team has some dynasty in hand.
Anyway, coffee is served for those who stayed up to watch as well :)
I think a Breakfast Burrito too
-
Didn't watch either, don't know who played who, and don't care.
Insides still aren't working right, they were supposed to set me up an appointment with a specialist, but if they did, they forgot to tell me about it, and Friday afternoon their phone was just busy signals. Going to work today, anyway.

Didn’t watch the game either. I do enjoy college ball but can live without it also.
Looks like rain is returning.

Don't mind if you watch and enjoy, just don't drive those who don't crazy and even worse try to convince them how wrong they are by not caring. The fans of the local University are the worst.

took off today, since I worked a Saturday a few weeks ago. Still no specialist appointment, but feeling somewhat better. Temp started about 30 this morning, but going up all day, supposed to continue going up tonight and tomorrow morning, but with rain.
Wife's Trailblazer out again(still). First she tell me(a couple f weeks ago) that the heater stinks, like it did before, when the resistor melted down, so I got a new one-but the old looked fine. Then last week, while we're doing my doctor visit, it's stinking again, but with clattering noises too.. Stink is coming from under the hood, not inside the heater. Dropped it at my usual shop for things I don't want to work on. He puts in a new idler pulley and all is well....for a week, then the same thing. So Sunday I'm inspecting it and..... :'( it's not an idler pulley, but the A/C clutch bearing that's rattling and smoking. Back to the shop it is, for the Big Bucks, this time. You'd think they could make an AC that would last 200,000 miles easy. ;D
Finally got to test some of my .308 loads with 748 powder, not bad. Four 3 shot groups, 75 yards, charge increased 1 gr for each set, from .9 to 1.8 in, but I think the biggest was my fault. Others were about 1.25.

My dad's old trailblaze lost a/c at 125,000. We didn't fix it until close to 175,000. Then sold the car at 190,000.
Currently -5, wind chill to -18 with blowing sn*w. I worked last night to 1am. At one point the wind got to -40. That was... Unpleasant.
I had a "stage check" in my flying yesterday. Had a nice 2.5 hour brief (read that "I got my heiny grilled about Federal Regulations and aerodynamics"). Then Friday I have a flight test. But, next week I should get to take me first solo. So that's exciting.

Glad your feeling some better.... car gremlins are a pain.... We have washer gremlins same kinda PITA...
The dam thing is a new computer circuit board controlled SOB, 3 times now the warrantee guys have been out >:(
this last time the Asshat broke the inlet water connection, but because we had to shut off the water , he could not test his "FIX"
( a new circuit board ) but he said it was fixed ::) OK I repaired the leak , "SHE" goes to do a load , and informs me "IT" isn't FIXED"
So the GE factory rep is here now...says the guy never programed the board just stuck it in !
The GE factory rep tells me.... He said " the board needs to "communicate " with the machine....
I told him.... this is the 4th repair for the same problem '' SHE" has been without it and has had to use a Laundry Mat ! several times.
It's been on the fritz this time around since before the holidays.
I informed, him "SHE" isn't happy, >:( which in turn....causes me unhappiness :(
I explained I'd communicate with the machine with a 10lbs sledge .... warrantee THIS !
FIX it or replace it .... I might add I took the day off today just to talk to the warrantee guy !
-
I don’t want household appliances with a computer.... if it is not broke don’t fix it
-
Exactly Roo.... on - off simplicity

Good luck finding one.
As for computers and cars, My Magnum is dumping gas through cylinder #5, I diagnosed it as far as I had the equipment to do it, But it seems that it will need a new PCM unit at around $300.00-$500.00 for it, She's parked in the garage out of the weather and I'm using the Mighty Dodge Dakota, that's 22 years old and looks like swiss cheese, But that truck is a monster in S**w and doesn't owe me a dime.

Got done replacing the heater fan on the Beast 1/2 hour ago. It might be a bit warmer drive now. ::)

Yeah ! I know....that's why "SHE" has the POS she has now is here , can't find simple made anymore....
There was a time, when I tinkered, tuned, and turned wrenches on my auto's , now I won't even change the oil anymore.
I'm embarrassed to say, I don't think I've looked under the hood on either of the crossover's more than maybe twice....
in fact, now as I think about it, never on the wife's, only driven it once when we got last year. :-\
That is just SAD !
anymore, it just start them, point them and go.... more than 50% of the fun of ownership back then was wrenching.
Now, I get that kinda fun ??? , watching the Shows like "Chasing Classis Cars" & Iron Resurrection course Amanda Martin ain't hard to watch either ;)

Rode to barn with the ranch Forewoman. While she fed. I opened and closed the gate. Then closely observed.
Breakfast time now.

Biscuits for her son and self, with scrambled eggs. From very locally raised hens. Ham from a Alabama Farm and slaughtering company. Toy Store visit & Lunch for another Sat. was a hand .... only thing of peaked interest was a consigned SS Ruger Single Six w/ the spare 22 Mag. Cylinder.
Looked it over, decided I'd been there once, done that and passed.
Course there is still a S&W 38 special Victory model, but it been nickeled and the consignee is stratospheric on his price, going on 8-9 months displayed in the counter.... ::) asking twice the going price , and it not original finish.

misty, slow, steady drizzle all afternoon yesterday and through the night , still at it ....Trump's fault
Read there is a colossal storm on Uranus. :o
The space agency also spotted a new storm brewing on Neptune.
It’s the dark spot near the top of the planet and is somewhat mysterious, as these massive dark storms have been observed appearing and then vanishing relatively quickly, liberals argue it's Trump's fault.
NASA plans to continue monitoring weather on these frigid, gases bodys to better understand the reason for Elizabeth Warren, and Amy Klobuchar formally announcing their campaigns for president.

I don't remember falling. Gopher Grease called today, he's an old Corpsman. Said my brain ran me down on O2 trying to clear my throat and slipping likely caused it a panic mode using more O2 than it could spare at the moment.
Didn't seem to me to be anything to make me think stroke or anything. Sat a couple minutes and got right back up and ate my pizza I made. Doubt I'd of jumped right back up with even the mildest of strokes.

Thanks for the Coffee Slim- hope Number 1 is improving.
I monitor my O2 saturation carefully. 90’s I can get around okay concidering all the facts. Like only a partial right lobe. When it drops in the 80’s I will feel it. I become disorientated dizzy and begin not seeing clear. It has dropped as low as 78. Usually by then Suzanne and I recognize a problem. Like I am on the floor, looking for help. If extra Oxygen doesn’t correct it I am on the way to ER. Two days later I wonder where the bruises come from.
More pleasantries the rain continues, i haven’t had a calling to build any kind of watercraft yet. But I have been eyeing some lumber. Always good to be prepared.

I had what I called a "minor" stroke in November of 2014. I woke up from an afternoon nap and my speech was slurred along with some numbness in my right cheek. My wife drove me to the ER and their tests confirmed it was a stroke. They officially called it a blood clot on the brain probably caused by a bad cholesterol reading. They gave me a drug called "Clot Buster". Within 45 minutes my speech returned and the numbness went away. What I didn't know is there is a three hour window in which they can administer the drug. After three hours it is no longer effective. I was lucky as I felt good except for the slight numbness and slurred speech. I almost ignored those symptoms. This was a big wake up call for me to pay attention to my cholesterol readings.
If you see someone experiencing the following symptoms, get them help immediately.
Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm or leg (especially on one side of the body).
Sudden confusion or trouble speaking or understanding speech.
Sudden vision problems in one or both eyes.
Sudden difficulty walking or dizziness, loss of balance or problems with coordination.
Severe headache with no known cause.
One of the nurses told me there is no such thing as "minor" stroke.
-
See other than falling over I had none of those.
-
I've fallen a few times like you have Del. All I ended up with was a sore back. My numbness and slurred speech were pretty clear signs of a stroke. Glad to hear you are OK and able to shovel snow.
-
If I'd of even remotely thought it was anything else we would have called 911.

Afternoon all.
Currently warm and windy. Almost to freezing. That blizzard of Del's is heading this way, and pushing a warm front ahead of it. So everything is melting right now. Starting tomorrow we're expecting a foot of fresh white stuff.
My sister is flying out today for Inchon, South Korea today. She's doing a semester abroad for school, so the family is taking her to the airport today. I'm still out here in Montana, and likely won't see her until next summer. But oh well.

Nice day here, mid-upper 40s, sunshine. Still mud everywhere. Managed to put out a couple of round bales without getting stuck. Shot up some "test loads" I was working up. The .308 loads were pretty good, .45 loads mangled the 3" black aiming point of my target. GEW88 didn't like my cast/red dot loads, but the '98 did. Cut and split some wood, dead elm tree standing near enough to the gravel road I could get to without getting in the mud.

Woke to 2nd day of sunshine.. in a row. Calling to change tomorrow.
The smell of skunk overwhelms this morning. When we let the first round of dogs out. I believe someone hit one on highway behind us. As long as the dogs don’t find it and roll on it.
We don’t see many of them around here-we see more armadillos. Possums on a half shell.
I have used TB for 30-30 160gr GC hardcast bullets also used 4195. The latter seemed best. Both were good to a hundred yards

Packing rations, doing a lecture on Civil War rations tonight.
My visial aid will be one soldiers individual ration for the day. Both camp and marching including 1.6 oz green coffee beans. Comminsarry is out of desicrated veggies though, not uncommon. ::)
Got 1 pound hardtack for the marching ration and a 1 pound 6 oz loaf baked as would have been done for the camp ration.
-
Ok, posted this on the GAF page.
Ok, going to do a lecture tonight on Civil War rations in the Union Army, will do on on the Confederate Army another time.
Got my props ready, of course they wouldn't be nicely bagged up, the soldier put them in his haversack how ever he could.
First picture is garrison ration for one day.
22 oz loaf of soft bread when available.
3/4 pound of pork, either salt pork or bacon
2/3 cup dry beans or peas.
2 tablespoons vinegar.
1/3 cup sugar.
1/6 cup salt.
1.6 oz green coffee.
1 oz cube of dried and pressed vegetables if available. The commissary was out today.
These were called desicated or as the soldiers called them desicrated.
Second picture is the marching ration, no beans or vegtables were issued and 1 pound of hard bread was issued athough this was also sometimes issued in camp.
So here is your daily ration, go forth and prepare it and enjoy.
