Just got my issue of the Cowboy Chronicle and found an article by Texas Jack Daniels where sass is going to eliminate rank scoring and use total time scoring. A definite improvement imo. I never thought that rank scoring was fair, the standard reply in sass has always been 'you're only competing against shooters in your category' but rank scoring ranks every shooter that shoots the stage. I've always believed that it was apples and oranges to lump everyone together with rank scoring. Now this doesn't apply to me cause my club has always used total time and the only other match that I do nowdays is WB. Just thought I'd start a thread and see what CasCity thinks.

Those of us whom whined, griped, moaned and groan'd over Rank Points have been celebrating for WEEKS!!

Just tother week I was real close to the edge. Man is that ever scary. I mean the edge of the world was RIGHT THERE. A body could miscalculate and just fall right OFF. Good thing it's flat on both sides. Them Aussies ud be inna real fix otherwise.

I don't like looking at my scores no matter how you keep track of them. Looking at them only reminds me that I'm a legend in my own mind...

It didn't make me no nevermind, and most of the clubs around here were using total time anyway. But I did like to look at the rank/per/stage for both myself and others. Like, okay this was my best stage, how did I rank with the others on this stage? Having the rank listed makes it easy to see those things. But even though the data is in the software and rank could be easily shown, most of the results posted by local clubs do not show the rank.

I still like to see rank by stage as a point of interest, even if it is not used for awards. I would be interested in "clean" by stage too.
