Title: Pretty Eliminator C grips?
Post by: jpprescott on February 09, 2016, 06:26:12 PM
Just picked up a Pietta Eliminator C this weekend. Love the pistol, but have a question..
Cimarron says online that the Eliminator C series comes with an army style grip but mine seems  to be a standard SAA grip (very close to my 1851).
I would prefer smooth grips but I'm not sure now what to order. Anyone have any insight?
Thanks

The Eliminator-8 with octagonal barrel is the only Eliminator with an Army (checkered) grip.  You can order a smooth replacement grip  for yours but since it hasn't been fitted to the gun it will likely have some high edges.  You can sand them to fit but that will go through the finish.  When I have had to do that, I just refinish the grip and give it an oil finish.
