Great work on the collages Marshal'ette Halloway!
My intentions (no promises) are to try that sort of layout for the Jan/Feb cover of The Shootist to include the night fire and canon salute...folks just love to see flames ;D

I didn't get any good ones at all of the night shooting. I have so many pictures that it is difficult to pick out what I want to use..
I love it when I can actually have the time to set and enjoy doing them. It is really relaxing.
As long as ya'll are enjoying them.. I'll try to keep making them. :D

Actually I do... one you were the kitchen maid and had your hands in dirty water...
and several you were yacking.. but not as much as the Marshal blabbered his mouth..(**good lord.. did he ever shut up? :D)

but this weather right now in Kansas is as close to perfect as you can get, so it is hard for me to not hurry and get my chores all done inside, so I can go out and soak up some of the gorgeous outside.

Great pics, by the way. You and the Marshal are very photogenic (hell. I can't spell), not like yours truly that has to caught on a good day, at the right angle. Off topic for a second, what kind of camera are you using? We have a hi-dollar Canon digital, but I still can't get past my Nikon EM 35.

Well.. I have a couple more done, but Marshal is wondering about the people with dial up..
Is it slowing you folks down with this many pictures on a thread? He can sperate them if need be.

I have to wait a while for the pics to fully display, the length of time depending partly on level of usage on way to my laptop. Not a problem or bother for me. I do get close to full 56K at my most commonly used locations.
I only use dial-ups because of need to be functional anywhere there is a phone line.

I've got dial up - SLOWEST you can get unfortunately (26.4) but the collages are not a problem. I'm really enjoying your work! Keep 'em coming! Thank you Marshal and Marshal'ette!

Howdy Chantilly,
Making collages is a great way to show pictures. Marshal'ette is using an image software called Photoshop, but this can be done with many image tools available out there.
She makes one blank picture and add layers of cutouts from the pictures she wants to work with. After she has chosen the pics, she moves them around on the blank one and kind of melt them all together into one, some times with one picture as a background. Then we downsize the original collage into a jpg file and with a size that is suitable for web pages. She loves doing them and we are glad you all like them.

Collages take time, but when I work on them it just relaxes me and I find that I don't think about anything else while I am working on them.. so I really do enjoy it.
