Title: Beautiful Lever Action Take-Down Case!
Post by: rbertalotto on December 17, 2014, 10:59:55 AM
I received the cases in the mail today.

In a word..."Fantastic!".....Amazing what you get for $209.00

Real Leather, nice thick canvas, brass accouterments, combination lock...

My 1894 Winchester fit perfectly! It came with a piece of the interior material so I used it and covered a little wood block I made to support the muzzle.

What a nice gift for your old take-down at Christmas!

Jeff's outfitters sells some nice stuff and his English style all leather cases make me wish I had a premium trap gun to put in one.

I have the exact same case as yours, only I put a Winchester (Miroku) model 95 takedown in 30-06 in it.   Because of the box magazine on the 95, I had to swap out the lower left block to make it fit, but it came out real nice.

Here it is:

Also, you might want to check out a Hobby Lobby craft store if you have one,   They had some inexpensive felt cloth craft rectangle's (about 9 x 12 in.) that perfectly matched the color and texture of the case lining, so even though he sent a small extra swatch, I needed more for both a barrel support and the filler foam block on the left end.

Beautiful 1894 by the way.

Cheers

Linky no worky.  But, what length barrel is that 92?  I just got one with a 24" barrel, might have to get something nice like that for it.

Try this link:

Jeffs Outfitters (https://jeffsoutfitters.com/store.aspx?categoryid=71&panel=1)

The case is at the bottom of the canvas and leather cases page.   It states that it will take up to a 26 inch barrel.

They also sell a case for regular lever actions that will fit up to a 26 inch.  It might make a classy case to carry one's
rifle to matches.

Cheers

Thank you, kind sir.  While my 92 Takedown isn't as old as some, it was made in 1922.
