Title: 4th Annual Best of the West
Post by: RRio on October 23, 2005, 02:52:54 PM
Just picked up the most recent issue (Oct 2005) True West magazine.

USFA SAA was voted the "Best Single Action Army"  for 2005.

I'm not totally sure, but I believe it has won this award before. I don't always agree with some of the content of that magazine, but I do agree with their pick for Best SAA.

Yes, I was right. This is actually the second time USFA has taken "Best Single Action Army".

I used to be ashamed of the Stampede in my cabinet, but then I got used to showing it in comparison to the Case Colors of my USFA SAA's.  At first sight my wife said the the Stampede was "pretty", but when she saw my USFA SAA's, she said they were "beautiful."  I would say that my wife has a good eye for American Quality.  Don't get me wrong, the Italians make outstanding firearms, but when one holds a USFA SAA, one is overwhelmed with feelings of "ah, thats what American Quality feels like!!"  USFA is one American Company that even Samuel Colt or even Bill Ruger would be impressed by.

I would add that they would envy the quality of a USFA SAA and the plant that it comes from, in Hartford no less!  I agree, the Italians do an excellent job and for the money they too give you quality, but the USFA is just a cut over that.  Kind of like comparing a Maserati to a Ferrari.
