Title: Chiappa '92 44-40 takedown
Post by: PJ Hardtack on November 01, 2013, 07:05:44 PM
A friend is marketing a Chiappa '92 44-40 in the takedown model. Looks pretty good with decent wood and case hardened frame.

Anybody got any experience with these models? Any issues to be aware of?

Picked up a truly beautiful version from my friend Bryan Buck at 3B Shooting Supply a couple years ago. Old new stock from Cimarron. Out of the box it is the slickest '92 I've ever owned. Zero problems. Good enough to earn me second place at the 2012 NCOWS Nationals in Originals Class. Buy it you'll be delighted!

Other than be in 44-40, it ain't gonna do me any better than the pair of Browning '92's I have in .44 magnum.

I'm holding out for one of the Winchester/Miroku '73's in 44-40 when they come out.
