Very nice deal!

I was gonna buy one.

But...   They won't sell to someone in Massachusetts.   Not even on a C&R, which is specifically exempted from a lot of the silly rules.

Oh, well.   That's the way it goes sometimes.   :(

They were willing to send one to Colorado, odd given what our elected officials have been up to lately.  The gun is in reasonable mechanical shape for its age.  I think they’re getting to the bottom of the barrel on these.  I got a commercial frame with what’s left of that very beautiful 1930s Colt blue job intact in many but by no means all places. The slide is a dull blue but not really parkerized, an arsenal refinish I'm sure. The slide and barrel both have the same serial number but unfortunately they don't match the serial number on the frame.  The grips have been replaced many years ago with some sort of hard rubber finger grove things.  The main spring housing is smooth so I’m assuming it’s been replaced as well.  It is arched so it may have just fallen victim to a Dremel tool.  Other than that everything looks to be original.

I expected about what I got.  I intend to give it to Run N Iron http://www.runniron.com/ (http://www.runniron.com/) for one of his fine restoration jobs.  I'm going to have him bring it back to 1930s Colt commercial standards if he can.
