The seller said the bore is pretty much gone, but it can be relined in 7.63 or possibly rebored to 9mm Parabellum.
-
Unfortunately, it cannot be rebored for 9mm. I checked into that for mine a while back. But, it can be relined for 7.63 but you are looking at a several month waiting list. However, a shooter Broomie is always fun. I can't wait for mine to get back from the 'smith!

I had my 7.63 sewer pipe relined to 9 MM by a guy in Florida as I recall who specializes in Broomies. He did a great job for a reasonable price in no time flat.
Hope this one goes to a good home. Just too few of them out there in shooting condition to be parting any of them out.

Bat, if you can find that guy, see if he is still in business. I checked with three folks and all said there wasn't enough meat on the barrel to do it. Mine's a parts gun, so collector value doesn't exist, it's a shooter.

That was the place, The Broom Closet. I see he's getting mixed reviews on some of the forums. I had mine done years ago and was wery happy with his work.
Hope that helps

Thanks gents! That may be a Christmas present to me, going to 9mm! Sure would be cheaper to shoot and one less caliber to keep track of.

as i recall to change a 30 mauser to 9mm they cut the old barrel off and weld on a new 9mm barrel. kurt250
