Title: Broken shell in chamber
Post by: Wayne the Shrink on March 12, 2012, 12:17:03 PM
I have the remains of a broken shell in the chamber of my Uberti 1873 Short Rifle.  This after shooting around 50 fl power BP GOEX rounds.  The shell separated at the end of the web, with the front part of the shell in the chamber.  I've been soaking it in Kroil s far.

Try a new, oversized bore brush.

Try a new, oversized bore brush.

+1  If that don't work, wrap the bore brush with a thin cotton patch and push it into the chamber and give a a turn.  Sometimes the patch will catch on the broken edge of the case and allow you to push it out.
