I'm scouring Google for original Daguerreotypes and ambrotypes of emigrants on the Oregon Trail circa 1842-1855 and not finding much. There had to have been some. Anyone find a stash on the Net?

Yeah, I had no problem. Just go to images and type in "Oregon Trail" Found a plethora of samples.
I remember these days. I had a habit of developing a mean case of Typhus. Got scapled by injuns once. That wasn't fun. Don't think I ever made it to the promised land, though mercy did I try.
